Store Detective

Job Description:

We’ve been providing great Store Detectives (and guards) for LIDL (and other retailers) for many years; we’re keen to keep bringing more great people into the business. If you know how to observe people and understand what to do when you recognise a potential thief, then you should apply for this job….

The role we’re advertising is for a Store Detective in the Aldershot and Bordon areas; this is a full-time role, guaranteeing a minimum of 40 hours work, each week. Please do not apply unless you're able and willing to work in these areas.

The work involves identifying people who may be thinking about stealing, to prevent our Customers losing money. The work may also involve taking evidence from witnesses, speaking with local Police and processing Civil Recovery paperwork.

No experience is needed, so this position may offer a new career or development path for you, whether you have Security experience or not; but you need an SIA licence.

You must be willing to work on various days of the week, including weekends.

Full training is always provided; things like observational techniques (to help our team distinguish thieves from more honest people) and how to do this more quickly, then deal with people more professionally - we expect calm, polite and communicative people to do well with Stealth.

In return we offer:

  • Rate £8.50 / hour worked
  • Comprehensive ‘class’ and ‘field’ training
  • Wages paid accurately and on time, monthly
  • 5.6 weeks’ holiday, at full pay rate, pro rata.
  • A contributory pension scheme
  • Personal development opportunities (all Stealth managers have been promoted from within)

We’re an SIA approved Contractor, ranked within the top 10% of similar sized security providers, reflecting the standard we aim for.

If you’d like to speak to someone in our current team to confirm all of this detail, please apply; we’ll introduce you to one of our team before you commit to Stealth.

N.B. for your application to be taken further, we need to be able to Security Screen you properly, therefore a five-year employment and education history must be made available once selected for the position.
